Another 13 percent of its fat content is stearic acid, a type of saturated fat that's considered harmless, because it doesn't raise cholesterol levels.

If you're following a 2,000-calorie diet, between 200 and 700 calories should come from protein, and 500 to 700 calories should come from fat. a recipe for heart disease and kidney damage. But dieters' biggest 
concern appears to be monotony, which is where pork rinds come in.
